When we first visited Málaga, we were captivated by the city’s vibrant streets, historic charm, and its world-famous grilled sardines. It was during this trip that an idea sparked: what if we could capture a piece of Málaga’s unique culture and craft it into a fun, wearable gift?

While exploring local boutiques, we met the incredibly talented Ester, whose designs immediately inspired us. Her creativity and deep connection to Málaga’s heritage led to an exciting collaboration: Sardines Socks in a Can – Málaga Edition.

Sardines have been a staple of Málaga’s culinary tradition for centuries. Grilled over open flames, these small, flavorful fish are a symbol of summer nights by the Mediterranean, of family gatherings, and of street-side festivals filled with laughter and music.

Now, you can bring a piece of this history home – without opening a tin of fish! Each can contains a pair of high-quality socks designed to resemble the classic sardine tin. The black-and-white pattern nods to traditional Málaga sardine labels, making it a perfect souvenir or gift for design and food lovers alike.

Ester was immediately on board, and together we explored vintage Málaga sardine labels, old photographs, and iconic local motifs. Every detail of the can and sock pattern was carefully crafted to honor the city’s heritage. From the removable stickers to the elegant tin packaging, this product is a small work of art.
